About Course

Accounting and bookkeeping helps you analyze and interpret financial statements, evaluate the accounting information needs of management, understand and apply key principles of budgeting and many more.


The objective of the course is to provide an introductory knowledge of accounting to first-year students from a wide range of disciplines. Whilst a general overview of accounting principles relating to the preparation of financial and managerial reports will be presented, the primary focus of this course is to highlight how accounting information is utilized by a variety of stakeholders in the processes relevant to planning, controlling and investing decisions.
